Our science unit on insects and bugs continued this week. Among other things, the students used their imagination and created bugs in different art forms, such as play dough, pipe cleaners and construction paper. The results were amazing. We have a little "Bug House" in our classroom and that is where our "own" bugs live. While the students used their imagination, they were also encouraged to represent certain features of bugs realisically, such as the three body parts, wings and antennaes. Here are some pictures.
