Happy Summer
Dear Families and Friends,
I cannot believe summer is already here and the school year is over for now. Time went by so fast at the end, with so many things happening at the same time. I hope you all have an opportunity to connect with each other over the summer, rest and relax. I also hope you will continue reading together. The students made incredible progress in reading over the past year, so please nurture these skills and try to read a little every day. I also hope you and your child will continue to blog with us on our KidBlog site. Your child will continue to have access to this resource next year as well as the kids want to stay connected and communicate with each other. Isn't that terrific? They are true 21st century learners already!
Here is a movie, summarizing the eventful last few weeks together. There are pictures from Tao's visit to our school, of Champ visiting our school for a Swarm Party, as well as pictures from our trip to the pond. The movie also contains pictures of the students making imaginary ocean creatures with the help of recycled computer parts along with more traditional arts and crafts. Thank you for an amazing year. I am a very fortunate teacher to have such a supportive group of parents and eager learners. Have a great summer.
