It is hard to imagine but the school year is almost finished and summer is upon us. The students are busy packing up their belongings at school and I hope you have the chance to carefully browse through all the "goodies" coming home every day now. You will notice that your child is bringing home materials and projects from all classes. In writing, for example, your child will bring home his/her writing folder, which contains some finished, but also some unfinished writing pieces. The writing folder might also contain graphic organizers and charts; things that help us take notes and organize our thinking in class. Your child will bring home a brand new folder tomorrow containing published pieces in writing. Please take the time to read through these amazing stories. Thank you.
Our wish student, Eli, came to visit our classroom for the last time. He was in our classroom once a week, helping us with projects and spelling. we will miss him so much! Thank you for helping us out.
We also had our last meeting with our learning buddies this week. We spent an entire year learning together and we will miss them over the summer. Ms. Davison and I are, however, in the process of setting up a summer reading blogs for returning students. I will keep you posted about this very exciting project later!
