Dear Families,
We’re in the home stretch now! It is hard to believe that we only have another week of school before summer vacation. This school year certainly went by fast! I will miss these kids very much next year. They worked hard this past school year and blossomed into kind, respectful and capable learners and friends, ready to take on any challenge. With that being said, we have noticed that it is hard for some students to show self-control at school. Please talk to your child about the importance of showing empathy, kindness and patience with friends during perceived challenging times. We have one more week before summer vacation begins. I know these kids can do it!
Thank you all for taking the time to come and celebrate with us this week for our “Celebration of Learning.” The students were so excited and happy to share their projects with you. More artifacts are coming home in today’s Home Folder along with an optional reading packet for continued summer reading.
News and Reminders:
Step Up Day will be on June 12th in the morning. This is a time when the students get to meet their new teacher and friends for next year.
Report cards go out on the last day of school, June 14. June 14 is a half day with dismissal at 11:35. Please let me know if your child needs a bagged lunch for that day. The choices are ham, turkey or sunbutter/jelly sandwiches. Thank you.
Have a great weekend,
Maria
