Weekly Update

Dear Families,
Our Reading Restaurant was a huge success!  Thank you all for coming to celebrate the students writing.  Thank you also for taking the time to read our stories and writing all the tips for our authors.  Thius means so much to our young writers.  Here are some pictures for you to enjoy:

The students "practiced" Reading Restaurant with their friends from Horizon and Synergy as well.  We also invited Sharon Davison's Kindergarten class and Patricia Casey's Pre-School class to join us.  Here are some pictures from those special events:

We have many special events planned for the weeks ahead.  Here are some highlights and reminders:

• Tomorrow, Wednesday May 27, Harmony has a field-trip to Shelburne Museum.  This is a whole day trip so please make sure your child brings a packed lunch and snack and something to drink.  The weather forecast calls for hot and humid weather so please dress accordingly.  We will be outside the entire day.  The bus will leave around 8-8:30 am from Allen Brook and will return to our school for regular dismissal.  Thank you to those of you chaperoning this event.
• Monday, June 1st is Step-Up day at WCS for incoming 3rd graders.  All current second graders will take the bus over to WCS and meet their new teacher and class-mates. First graders will stay at ABS.
• Friday, June 5th is Step-Up Day for Kindergarten.  Our current first graders will meet their new class-mates and first graders for next year.
• Monday, June 8th is Fun Day.  More information will follow.
• Tuesday, June 16th is our last day of school and it is a half-day!
