We had our first 4 Winds class today with many exciting learning activities. Luckily, the weather was cooperating so the students could explore scientific concepts outside. Our theme this year is ecosystems. Today, the students learned about leaf eaters. They were searching for evidence of leaf eaters and insects outside. We found many caterpillars and "eaten" leaves. The students also learned about the food chain. They participated in learning activities about the food chains sequence. Thank you parent volunteers who make this wonderfully interactive and hands-on class a possibility. Here are some pictures.
Welcome to Mrs. McCormack's 1st grade class blog where we post updates and pictures of our learning. Please see the sidebar for links to our other web-sites.
